Other Benefits Our Members Enjoy

Active Yahoo Communications Group  -- Members receive up-to-date information about field trips, Homesteader events and classes, information about homeschooling resources, curriculum, and items for sale and/or loan are also readily shared among members.

Lending Library --   We are establishing a growing lending library of homeschool resources and curriculum which is available to members on Mom's Night Thursdays and S.P.O.K.E.S. Fridays.

Field Trips --  Numerous field trips are planned to enrich and augment the academic subjects taught at home. Special emphasis is on programs and trips that are specially designed for school groups, including docent lead tours where applicable.  

S.P.O.K.E.S. --  Special Programs Offering Kids Enrichment and Support are mini-clubs which meet on Fridays. These offerings accommodate special interests, address specialized academic needs and  encourage friendships within smaller groups of students. Recent club opportunities have included Journalism Club, Spanish Club, Family Geography Club, American Girls, Kindergarten Club, and Lego Club.

RADIUS --  This is the Middle and High School Co-Op which meets on Tuesday and Friday mornings/afternoons for academic instruction.

Special Events --  Homesteaders hosts several optional get-togethers for the entire family --  just for fun and fellowship! Members look forward each year to events such as a fall picnic, Christmas caroling, Valentine Exchange, and the end-of-year Student Share Fair.
