So, ladies, how is your life going?
If you’re like most of us, things probably aren’t going
as well as you’d like them to. A lot of us are hurt, lonely,
worried, stressed, and wondering how we are going to survive. We
struggle with all sorts of issues like being too busy, our weight,
always being angry or upset, trying to meet everyone’s expectations,
drinking, trying to be Superwoman, perfectionism, broken relationships,
drugs, being a workaholic, always saying yes when we really mean
no, being critical of others, being lonely and lots of other issues.
We all have hurts, hang-ups and habits that are making us miserable.
But our lives don’t have to be this way. Come join
us as we find hope, help and healing!
In Celebrate Recovery we join together to share our struggles and
concerns and celebrate God's healing power in our lives as we work
through the program. By working through and applying these Biblical
recovery principles (listed below), we begin to be changed and to
grow. We become free from our addictive, compulsive and dysfunctional
behaviors. This freedom creates peace, serenity, joy and most importantly,
a stronger personal relationship with God and others. As we progress
through the program we discover our personal, loving and forgiving
Higher Power - Jesus Christ, and his true meaning and purpose for
our lives.
Our meetings are held every Tuesday evening from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00
p.m. in the Potter’s House (the home behind the main building).
Follow the signs inside to locate the room. Please note that this
meeting is for women only. For more information, please call Betty
DeGrafft at (410) 263-2408.
All contacts and inquiries are kept in the strictest confidence!

The Eight Principles of Celebrate Recovery
Principle 1 - Realize I'm not God;
I admit that I am powerless to control my tendency to do the wrong
thing and my life is unmanageable.
"Happy are those who know they are spiritually
poor"
Principle 2 - Earnestly believe
that God exists, that I matter to him, and that he has the power
to help me recover.
"Happy are those who mourn, for they shall
be comforted"
Principle 3 - Consciously choose
to commit all my life and will to Christ's care and control.
"Happy are the meek"
Principle 4 - Openly examine and
confess my faults to God, to myself, and to myself, to God, and
to someone I trust.
"Happy are the pure in heart"
Principle 5 - Voluntarily submit
to every change God wants to make in my life and humbly ask Him
to remove my character defects.
"Happy are those whose greatest desire is
to do what God requires"
Principle 6 - Evaluate all my relationships;
Offer forgiveness to those who have hurt me and make amends for
harm I've done to others except when to do so would harm them or
others.
"Happy are the merciful" and "Happy
are the peacemakers"
Principle 7 - Reserve a daily time
with God for self examination, Bible readings and prayer in order
to know God and His will for my life and to gain the power to follow
His will.
Principle 8 - Yield myself to God
to be used to bring this Good News to others, both by my example
and by my words.
"Happy are those who are persecuted because
they do what God requires"
