God brought Dan to faith in a ministry family and grew that faith
during college. Carol also began to follow Christ at the same college,
where both were discipled and active in ministry together.
In 1974 Dan became a Marine officer, and Carol entered graduate
school. Dan served first in Asia and Japan. Upon his return, he
and Carol married.
God led the Iversons to Reformed Seminary in 1981, where He impressed
on them the Bible's heartbeat theme of redemption for all people
groups.
The Tokyo
Team was born there at RTS. They made a 15-year
commitment to ministry in Japan, where most have never heard the
gospel. The vision was to plant churches where there were none and
to see a presbytery born in partnership with the Presbyterian Church
in Japan.
Christ is building His Church in Japan! The Tokyo Chiba Presbytery
was born in 1999, with 13 churches. The team has grown to 30 adults.
The vision now is a church-planting movement throughout Japan. Dan
serves as team leader and church planter.
