Senior Pastor - Allen Harris

Allen, our Senior Pastor, came in 1978, from ten years with Inter-Varsity Christian Fellowship, to plant CPC as a daughter congregation of Covenant Orthodox Presbyterian Church in Burtonsville, MD. From those 25 original folks, CPC has grown simply because God has been pleased to bless this work. Allen and his wife Kathie have three grown children, a grandson and a granddaughter. Allen loves hiking, photography, and gardening. His primary ministry is preaching and working with the staff and elders.

Associate Pastor for Discipleship -
Stephen Green

Steve is our Associate Pastor and has been part of our ministry team since 1989. Steve was born in San Angelo, Texas. He is quickly approaching the point where he has lived longer in Maryland than any other state. He is involved with assimilating people into the congregation, adult education, and body life ministries. He directs our Cell and our adult Middle Hour ministries. He also oversees the Sonship discipleship course and provides pastoral counseling. Steve and his wife Ann, were married in 1981 and have five children and a son-in-law.

Associate Pastor for Worship and Families - Timothy Flora

Tim came to us after serving as a Pastor in Georgia for six years. He first served CPC as Youth and Families Pastor beginning in the fall of 1998 and then as Worship and Families Pastor since the fall of 2004. Tim oversees and coordinates the 'cradle to career' ministry, supporting CPC’s emphasis on the covenant family and the home. He serves on the worship committee and also facilitates the Eph. 5:3 men's group, where he has been encouraged by the transforming effect of God's grace. Tim grew up in Glen Burnie, MD, where he met his wife Dana in the 10th grade in 1979. They were married in 1988 and have six children.

Youth and Young Adult Ministry Coordinator - Jon Barnes

Jon graduated in May 2003 from Washington Bible College in Lanham, Maryland, with a BA in Bible with a Youth Ministry emphasis.  He has attended CPC since 1987. Always involved in many aspects of ministry, Jon is currently serving as the Youth and Young Adult Ministry Coordinator, and is working with the Middle School, High School and College/Young Adult ministries.  Jon has also been involved with overseas ministry trips to Slovenia, Bulgaria, and Mexico and hopes that God will continue to use him for His purposes in the world and at home. Jon married Robin Kerwin in 2004.

Outreach Ministries Coordinator - Robbie Pennington

Robbie, his wife Dena, their daughter, Hadley Kay and son Bricen moved to Columbia in August, 2006 from their home in Snellville, Georgia. In November of 2007 God blessed Robbie and Dena with a baby boy, Brayden. Robbie is currently pursuing a Masters of Divinity and desires to continue that pursuit while serving CPC.

Robbie has a passion for evangelism and a strong view that salvation belongs to our God, and God’s people have been privileged to simply proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ trusting God’s Spirit to produce results. Robbie spent time on staff with Campus Outreach ministry, where he ministered to university students in Alabama and in New Zealand  Robbie also brings experience as a Community Outreach Minister for a church plant in Georgia where the congregation used sports as a vehicle for outreach into the community.  They saw God bless the congregation from a Bible study to a growing church of  close 200 worshipers in about three years.  One of Robbie’s main priorities will be to oversee our Upward Ministries.
